Fall Ball
The fall fastpitch season is typically mid-August to late September. A player’s age bracket for fall ball will be determined by their age on August 31st of the following year. The fall ball season consists of approximately 4 weekend games and one (1) state tournament. All age levels play doubleheaders. The state tournament is a one-day tournament held on Saturday or Sunday, depending on the age bracket.
Ages
Fall ball hosts games for ages 8u- 18u
- 8u games will be coach pitch and held at Lexington Memorial Park on Sunday afternoons and evenings
- 10u-18u will follow the Tri-County fall league schedule.
When
The fall ball season consists of approximately 4 weekend games and one (1) state tournament. The state tournament is a one-day tournament held on Saturday or Sunday, depending on the age bracket.
Expect to play on Saturdays at the 10u level and Sundays at all other age levels.
For league games the game start times are:
• 12:00PM
• 1:30PM
• 3:00PM
• 4:30PM
In most cases your team will either play the early set of games or the late set of games. Start times for your team will change from week to week.
There will be occasions where you will play a game, sit a game, and then play another game. This is because there are an odd number of teams in the schedule. It is rare but it does happen.
Where
Practice locations will be selected by the coach, Fenway, Columbus, FLAMS and FLHS are some of the fields we have available. Games will be assigned by MN softball, Fall is still a travel program! Not all games will be at home!
Practices
Practices typically are twice a week and will be decided by the coach.
Games
Fall season consists of a double header game each weekend for a total of 5 weekends in late August through September. The final weekend is the State tournament.
Please note: Schedules for Fall ball are released by Tri-County and MN Softball weekly. Coaches and the board all find out at the same time, we do not have any control over the scheduled times or locations of the games.
8u will play single games on Sundays
Jerseys
Jerseys will be provided as a part of your registration fee.
Fall Ball only provides a jersey, if you would like to purchase additional pants, socks or belts please let a board member know, we have items for sale.
Cost
Registration for the 2024 Fall Season is $170.00 and is due upon registration. If a payment plan is needed, please reach out to the board president.
8u Registration is $50.00 dollars. If your child wishes to "play up" to 10u, they will need to attend tryouts on August 11th. If they are rostered on a 10u team, there will be an additional charge.
Extra Costs
You typically will not see additional fees with Tri-County hosted Fall Ball! Additional fees could include personal purchases for uniform items or new equipment for your player.

Fall Ball Tryouts will be held at Fenway Fields on AUGUST 11th, 2024, Sunday for all 10U-16U players wanting to play in our fall ball season.

If you are NOT wanting to play on one of our elite teams, your player will attend this tryout for the 2024 fall ball season. If you are unable to make the tryout date, or don't want to attend tryouts, you can email the board ahead of time that you would like your player just placed on a team. (players still must be registered to be placed on a team)
Fall 2024
Tryouts for ages 10u and up will be held on Sunday August 11th at Fenway fields. Players will be evaulated by outside evaluators. Teams are formed based off of scores at tryouts. If you do not attend tryouts, you will be placed on the lowest team.
8u players DO NOT attend tryouts and will be placed on teams.
Fall Game dates are as follows:
Fall Ball Week 1 - August 24-25
Labor Day weekend- No games scheduled.
Fall Ball Week 2 - September 7-8
Fall Ball Week 3 - September 14-15
Fall Ball Week 4 - September 21-22
Fall State - September 28-29
Fall is a short and fun season, kids age up in the fall and learn a lot. Because it is such a short season, please be sure you are available to attend game dates! Please note, all fall games are on the weekend. 10u will play on Saturdays, 12u and beyond will play on Sundays. State is only one day (on your assigned day at your assigned age level)
