Spring/Summer Fastpitch

FLAFA Spring/ Summer season is available to host teams for players aged 8u-18u. Pending on number of players we may have few or many teams at each age level.

Spring/Summer season runs April- early August weather permitting. FLAFA is a part of Tri-county which is a part of MN Softball. Games are scheduled by MN Softball. Locations will be TBD until the schedule is released.

Tri County games are played throughout the metro and parts of Wisconsin. Locations for games are determined by MN Softball. Practices will be determined by the coaches but will be one of our local softball fields.

8u will play a little more locally and is run through Centennial Little league. This is still a travel league, but games will not be as spread out and there are no regular season tournaments at this level.

Practices will typically twice a week and will be decided by the coach.

10u-18u Spring /Summer season consist of double header games once to twice a week. Each team is allowed 3 tournaments, one of which being our home tournament, Fast and Furious and two others selected by the coach. Extra tournaments are available but will be at the cost of the team. There are additional tournaments such as Tri-County Qualifiers, State and Nationals.

Jerseys will be provided by FLAFA and are included in the registration fee.

Additional fees would include personal equipment, shoes, additional uniform items as needed, Extra tournaments and Nationals. Registration fees include Games, field use, uniforms, (socks, pants, belts, shirts) umpire fees, three tournaments and gate fee for Summer State.

IF your child wishes to play up an age level, they MUST try out for both age levels. This means TWO tryouts on October 13th. They will exit tryouts and re-check in for the next age level they would like to play. This is still only one registration. Players allowed to play up will only be placed on an older team if the numbers allow. All teams are formed by tryout scores and approved by the board members.

FOR PLAYERS WISHING TO PLAY UP TO 10u (from 8u) : You will need to register as an 8u player due to your child's age. IF they wish to play up, make sure to note that in the registration and come to tryouts on October 13th! IF you are placed on a 10u team, you will receive an offer with additional fees to meet the requirements of the teams 10u and above.
